Description
Vermont Golf Is Going to Snow You.
Everybody raves about skiing in Vermont. But this state is also renowned for its golf – both public and private. Its country clubs are laid out on mountainsides with green, green fairways and lush trees that definitely could make it hard to focus on your ball.
Many of Vermont’s most exciting golf courses are part of luxurious second home developments in the state’s most beautiful countryside. These are four-season retreats — like The Quechee Club in the Quechee Lakes area with 36 holes of golf by New England architect Geoffrey Cornish and a downhill ski area for winter fun.
Although many clubs are semi-private, there are membership-only clubs as well, like the heavily wooded Country Club of Vermont in Waterbury Center.
Find a golf community and a club membership in this luxuriant state
If you’re looking for a community in Vermont, consider Spruce Peak at Stowe with a Bob Cupp signature course and great real estate. This is ski-in/ski-out, golf-in/golf-out living at its best.
There’s also the members-only Vermont National Country Club in South Burlington where Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack II collaborated on a unique course with dramatic elevation changes.
